Elklan: Level 3 Award in Supporting Children with Unclear Speech

Available through our licensed Elklan Tutor, Carla Melis-Cornelius.

What is Elklan: Supporting Children with Unclear Speech?

The course is designed for practitioners working with children and young people with phonological delay and no more than one complex speech disorder (age 4 and above). It is designed for practitioners working in mainstream, special schools, and specialist units and across all age phases.

The course will guide practitioners through an assessment of speech and the implementation of a speech programme with a child or young person. Practitioners will have access to ‘Sound Builders’; an online resource which will provide step-by-step guidance to facilitate the speech programme. The speech programme can be shared with parents and carers.
